29.04.26- John Blow v Manor Farm
John Blow battled hard but ultimately fell to a 4–2 defeat against Manor Farm in an entertaining and hard-fought contest.
Manor Farm made a strong start, taking the lead early on with a well-delivered ball into the box that was converted to put John Blow on the back foot. After a slow opening, John Blow began to grow into the game, finding rhythm and composure in midfield. Freddie, Harry, and Evie linked up effectively, while Noah L and Ronnie looked solid in defence. Up front, Noah J worked tirelessly to press and create opportunities.
The second half started much like the first, with Manor Farm striking early again. A great initial save from Harry D couldn’t keep out the follow-up, as Manor Farm tapped home to double their lead. Two further goals followed, leaving John Blow trailing 4–0.
Despite the scoreline, John Blow showed real determination and character. Harry G put in an excellent shift in midfield, helping drive the team forward. Their persistence paid off when Ronnie made a strong defensive interception, setting up Noah J to pull a goal back. Moments later, straight from the restart, Noah J struck again—capitalising on a loose pass from the goalkeeper to make it 4–2.
Buoyed by the quick double, John Blow pushed forward and created several more chances late on, but were unable to convert.
It was another spirited performance from a young John Blow side, with the Year 4 players once again stepping up and gaining valuable experience.
